About Our Founder
Savvy & Shine was founded in 2010 by Joanna Maxwell, an award-winning colourist, global educator, and industry leader in hair and scalp health.
With over 20 years of experience, Joanna has educated in over 50 countries, working with some of the world’s most prestigious brands to train professionals in hair colouring, hair loss solutions, and scalp care.
Beyond education, Joanna is also an advocate for hair health during hormonal changes, speaking at events on menopause, PCOS, adenomyosis, and their effects on hair and scalp health. She is passionate about helping women navigate hair thinning, fragile hair, and scalp concerns related to hormonal shifts, ensuring they have access to expert advice and solutions.
She also serves as Chairperson of the Antrim Chamber of Commerce, playing an active role in supporting business growth, innovation, and economic development in Northern Ireland.
